XCL World Academy (XWA) is celebrating one of its strongest International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IB Diploma) performances, with the Class of 2026 achieving an average IB score of 34, a highest individual score of 44 and exceptional university and scholarship outcomes around the world.
The school’s 2026 IB Diploma average exceeded the global average by 3.2 points, while 11% of students achieved 40 points or more. Across the graduating cohort, 79% of students earned at least 30 points, reflecting consistently strong performance among XWA’s 2026 graduates.
These results were accompanied by an exceptional range of university opportunities. The cohort of 52 students secured more than 635 university offers and over US$25 million in scholarship offers, marking a significant year of achievement for the school and its graduating students.

Excellence Across the IB Diploma Programme
XWA students delivered strong results across all six IB subject groups, including Languages, Mathematics, Sciences, Individuals and Societies, Business and the Arts.
Several individual subjects recorded particularly impressive outcomes. Theatre achieved a perfect average score of 7.0, while Mandarin Ab Initio also recorded an average of 7.0. Business Management students achieved an average subject score of 5.81.
The breadth of these results highlights the diverse academic strengths within the Class of 2026, with students excelling across creative, linguistic, analytical and academically rigorous subject areas.
The school also celebrated the multilingual achievements of its graduates, with 18% of students earning the prestigious IB Bilingual Diploma. This distinction recognises students who demonstrate high levels of academic proficiency across two languages.

The Students Behind XWA’s 2026 Achievements

Among the Class of 2026 is Wenqi “Mark” Jing, who received a prestigious scholarship package from University College London and is preparing to pursue Mechanical Engineering.
Mark’s interest in engineering was strengthened through hands-on learning and access to XWA’s advanced design and technology facilities. During his time at the school, he developed practical experience in coding, Computer-Aided Design, engineering simulations, digital fabrication and rapid prototyping.
He also worked with technologies including 3D printers, laser cutters and CNC machinery, allowing him to move beyond theoretical learning and apply engineering principles to real projects.
One of Mark’s standout projects involved designing and building an FPV drone from scratch. The process required him to research the technology, design the frame, code components, test prototypes and resolve technical challenges.
His journey reflects XWA’s emphasis on experiential STEM learning and its approach to helping students transform individual interests into meaningful academic and university pathways.

A Historic ESSEC Scholarship for XWA Graduate Shivani Nair
Fellow graduate Shivani Nair achieved another exceptional university outcome, becoming the first student to receive a full scholarship to ESSEC Business School’s Global Bachelor of Business Administration programme.
